Behzad Adineh was born in Masjedsoliman, Iran. In 1985, he started acting in the theatre which was first his experience in the art world in the city of Ahwaz. He had gained experience as a cameraman reporter, and working on documentaries. He made a couple of short film before applying to the university in 1989. He graduated from University of Tehran in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. Behzad moved to Canada in 2001. He continues his career in Canada by working as a set designer in the movie industry. Living in a multicultural society, he’s pursuing his artistic vision to gain better understanding and prowess in his work.

Adineh has worked for nine Feature Films as Art Director, fourteen Set Designs for theatres in Iran and Canada, and he was Art Director for more than 5000 minutes productions for Iranian Broadcasting Corporation. He has two awards for best Set Design from Iranian Theatre Festival. Also Behzad teaching Set Design and Visual Art for faculty of Broadcasting, (I.B.C)
"How could photography exist if there was no darkness?
Indeed, without light, we wouldn’t be able to see any things in our environment. No matter how colorful you design your world, you can’t see colors in absolute darkness. But, we shouldn’t ever forget that shadows along with light gives a three dimensional valve to the world. As an Art Director, the complexity, the interaction of light and dark, colors and shapes are all essential to my conceptualized art, and I never want to forget that half of what we see is darkness. Without darkness your world will be flat and without perspective and dimension. Finally, in my opinion each culture creates a new dimension. Toronto is a good example of a “Multi Cultural” society with a deep perspective."
